  • To promote quality of life for the people of Hollywood.

Message from the President

The Chamber is committed to advancing the economic vitality of the Greater Hollywood area, and one key way to do this is to encourage support of the local businesses.

This past year we had the distinct pleasure of experiencing the opening of ArtsPark , the announcement of BioRasi moving its worldwide headquarters to Hollywood and the announcement of Sheridan Stationside Village as one of the leading transit oriented developments in state of Florida. In 2007, the City of Hollywood was awarded the All America City Award.

As we watch the progress of all these great economic opportunities, we are reminded that the City of Hollywood is poised for great things. We are a city that is vibrant, diverse and progressive in thinking. As a Chamber, we are challenged to ensure that all of our members have the necessary tools at their disposal to take advantage of. We have accepted the challenge to redefine our traditional business connections with the creation of many new programs designed to take advantage of our diversity.

The leadership of the Chamber has continually stepped forward to be heard on important community development issues that affect Hollywood and the greater South Broward area. This year, we will continue to be involved in such important issues from the local, regional and statewide perspectives. We will address workforce housing, local signage and zoning issues, property tax and insurance reform, adequate transportation for our resident workforce and, finally, the important resources of our community, including energy. Our Chamber has accepted the responsibility of acting on behalf of all businesses as their voice for positive change and a productive business environment. We will never lose sight of the need to balance growth and our quality of life we hold so dearly here in Hollywood and South Broward.

As President of the Board of Directors, I am committed to helping all of our members regardless of size or type of business. I look forward to a year of significant opportunity for them and their employees. I am committed to further help develop current Chamber programs, and I am continuously looking for new and innovative programs that will help build a productive place to live, work and play. Business success leads to community profits…
